GYANT (acq. by Fabric) selected to the inaugural Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University MedTech Accelerator

November 11, 2019

Our team is excited to announce that GYANT has been selected as one of six startups in the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University inaugural MedTech Accelerator cohort.

The Mayo Clinic and ASU MedTech Accelerator, taking place over the next 6 to 12 months, gives GYANT the opportunity to collaborate with the country’s most distinguished medical mentors and researchers. The Mayo Clinic is widely known as the top hospital in the United States, ranking first in more specialties than any other. One of the fastest-growing research universities in the U.S., ASU has repeatedly been ranked as the #1 university for innovation in the country.

Stemming from two of the nation’s foremost medical institutions, the Accelerator program recognizes transformative efforts in medical technology, identifying and fostering emerging innovations that are poised to advance healthcare. As health systems in the U.S. face a worsening shortage of providers, and burnout rates that are higher than ever, there has been an increase of interest in natural language processing (NLP) and AI to automatically chart patient history — reducing the administrative burden on physicians. What’s more, 1 in 3 hospital executives cite the digital front door as a key priority, as institutions turn to new solutions that improve both the provider and patient experience. GYANT creates a comprehensive digital front door for hospitals, guiding patients through the system to the right level of care and resources.

We look forward to the opportunity to validate our products with the Mayo Clinic and ASU, creating a more robust integration with hospitals’ existing processes for providers, and improving upon the patient experience. These implementations will give us additional insights from users, supporting the continued iteration and deployment of GYANT’s products with health systems across the U.S., and empower us to further optimize our offerings for patients and providers.
