Fabric buys UCM to scale telehealth for payers

November 10, 2025

Fabric has acquired UCM Digital Health, adding about 400 payer and employer clients and one million covered lives, expanding its telehealth reach across all 50 US states.

The deal brings Fabric’s footprint to more than 75 health systems, 30,000 employers and over 100 million lives. Telehealth refers to remote care delivered by phone, video or secure messaging.

Fabric says UCM’s 400 customers will move to its platform and provider network, with “omnichannel” access before, during and after virtual care. Asynchronous visits — handled without a live call — aim to cut waits and clinician workload.
